The Story of DAIMA

The Story

Shaped by two friends, Isil and Selda, sharing a passion for art during their studies in Art Criticism Master, Daima is a collective effort that encapsulates the values and craftsmanship of our heritage. Inspired by our grandparents' coffer, the central pieces in our collection are both unique and distinguished. We deliberately infuse sophistication into our designs using the renowned handmade Turkish needle lace called "oya" and the art of "tel sarma," an embroidery technique with gold metallic thread cording on hand-loomed natural fabrics.

Tel sarma and Oya represent the values and craftsmanship of Anatolian heritage, echoing traditions dating back to the 17th century. Tel Sarma, a special embroidery crafted with gold, silver, and copper metallic threads, holds historical significance, especially in providing girls' dowries. This intricate craft requires mastery and is created with special flat needles without using scissors.

At Daima we also curate events that bring together art and our brand. Believing in the preservation of cultural heritage through contemporization, our designs are collaboratively crafted with women across Anatolia, not just as a celebration of artistry but as an avenue for economic integration.

Daima, as both a reflection and storyteller, stands as a connection to the rich tapestry of Anatolian heritage while embracing the contemporary. Through our commitment to reviving "tel kırma", we invite you to experience a blend of history, craftsmanship, and modernity in every piece we create. Thank you for joining us on this journey through time and design.

Our Mission

At Daima, we are dedicated to empowering women and preserving timeless traditions. Founded by two visionary women, our company creates job opportunities for talented artisans from Anatolia, enabling them to handcraft unique goods that reflect our rich cultural heritage. We believe that providing meaningful employment does more than offer financial support—it instills self-respect, independence, and a sense of self-worth, allowing women to take care of their families and contribute to their communities.

Our mission extends beyond empowerment. We are committed to reviving and maintaining the lost arts of our heritage, ensuring that these beautiful, time-honored crafts continue to thrive. In a world increasingly dominated by fast fashion, we stand for quality, timelessness, and the conservation of our traditions. By valuing and promoting these virtues, we aim to shape a future that honors our past while empowering the women who carry it forward.

Together, we are not just crafting beautiful products—we are crafting a brighter, more inclusive future.
